“HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR” FIRST LOOK ON DISNEY PLATFORMS AHEAD OF OCTOBER 24TH WORLDWIDE CINEMA RELEASE
As Fan-Favourite Franchise Prepares to Hit the Big Screen this Autumn, the First Trailer Makes UK Online Debut on Disney.co.uk
LONDON (July 14, 2008) – As fans anxiously await the big screen premiere of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” which releases worldwide in cinemas only on October 24th, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures UK will launch the film’s first trailer online today at 4:30 p.m. GMT on Disney.co.uk. The nationwide online launch kicks off tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. GMT and is part of a global first look at the film across Disney platforms worldwide.
“We’re paying homage to the fans by debuting our first look on the very network that launched the franchise,” said Mark Zoradi, president, Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group. “’High School Musical’ is a worldwide phenomenon and as such, it is important to pursue a nearly simultaneous launch of the first look to fans everywhere, employing our online venue, Disney.com, as well as our international Disney Channels and Jetix platforms.”
The high-energy trailer will also reach core fans in locales around the globe, including U.S., Canada, Japan, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, Southeast Asia, India, Taiwan, Brazil and Mexico, among other select countries.
The trailer includes the new song “Now or Never” from “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” set to be the first single release. The trailer also features all new footage from the highly anticipated movie.
